We Buy Records
Hollow Bone Records offers cash or store credit in exchange for vinyl records. Store credit can sometimes yield higher returns if you're looking to buy more records or items from our store.

Faqs
- What are your buying hours?
-
It's recommended to call ahead and make an appointment to ensure an authorized buyer is available. Our typical hours for buying collections is Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. However, if those hours don’t work, we can set up an appointment with enough advanced notice.
- Can I sell a small number of records, or do you only buy larger collections?
-
We buy collections of any size. Whether it's just a couple of LPs you no longer listen to or a vast collection you're clearing out, we're happy to take a look.
- What styles of music do you buy?
-
We are interested in LPs from a wide range of genres, including Rock, Pop, Soul, R&B, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, Punk, Metal, Psychedelic, Garage Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Folk, and more. Our buyers will provide a breakdown of the offer for each collection.
- Are there any styles of music you DO NOT buy?
-
We do not buy Classical, Vocal, Easy Listening, and Religious records. If you have a large collection with records in these genres, please call and speak to our buyers first.
- What is the buying process and how long does it take?
-
Before we can go through any collection, you must have a valid form if identification such as a drivers license or passport. We assess the condition of every record. The buying process can take 30 minutes or less, but during busier times or for larger collections, it may take longer. You can leave your records, and we'll call you when we have finished our assessment, which may take up to 24 hours in some cases.
- Do I have to bring my records to the store, or can you come to me?
-
We conduct the majority of our buying in-store. We can help you load your records into the store if needed. However, for larger collections, we'll happily travel to you. Contact us and 234-334-7484 for more information.
- How can I initiate the selling process?
-
Reach out by calling us at 234-334-7484. Provide details like the number of records, whether they're in boxes or on shelves, the type of music, and any other relevant information.
- What information is helpful for selling my collection?
-
Include details such as the number of records, condition, and the primary music genres. Information about the previous owner is also valuable.
- Do I need to make a list or catalog my records?
-
No, there's no need to make a list. We go through collections regularly and prefer them organized in one place for assessment.
- How much do you pay for records?
-
The payment varies based on the artist, title, condition, and rarity.
- Do you buy compact discs, DVDs, books, or stereo equipment?
-
No.
- What if my records got wet in a flood? Will you still buy them?
-
Records that have been wet are generally of little use due to potential damage. It's advised to dispose of such records.
